Fly

Being able to fly around is very nice. Got it from someone near the place... Not too sure, all becoming a fuzzy lump now. Work has started up again and playing reduced to travelling back and forth. I've gone through celestial tower, gotten surf, beat all the trainers, decimated the gym there with one Pokemon, and evolved my blitzle to a zebstrika. Wandering aimlessly around twist mountain. New pokemon include a Larvesta, hatched from a random egg given to me by a random person. RPG trust is astounding. Caught a litwick and an elgyem from celestial tower, grabbed a frillish and a basculin from surfing around, and bumped into a supposedly really rare cryogonal.

A little more surfing and flying is in order. I'll be doing a slight detour from the main storyline to complete some item stuff and the legendary trio. They'll be fun with just pokeballs. I'm going to try, but if fit hits the shan, I'm going to whip out a dusk ball.

Raticate, a Sad Tale

I've mentioned the raticate story briefly in one of my earlier posts, and with two blank stares, I shall explain the tale. Pokemon don't really die. As sort of a buffer from kids and the harsh reality, Pokemon just seem to faint. Well, kinda. There's usually a tower in the region where old and passed on Pokemon are laid to rest. Some sick, some just out of time, but one maybe not so...

In the original three, (red, blue, and yellow,) one of your rival's first caught Pokemon is a rattata. He's faithfully raised along side Gary and evolved into a raticate. All is normal up until Pokemon tower in Lavender town. You run into your rival, laying something on a Pokemon's grave. As he turns to leave, he sees you and immediately turns hostile and challenges you. The big kicker is, raticate is no longer in his party...

While not directly mentioned, it is insinuated that you actually killed Gary's raticate. Battled him to death.
